CityChurch is hosting this event for Invisible Children that includes a premiere screening of their newest documentary “Kony 2012″ as well as live music from Civilian and Kids, food trucks, giveaways from our community sponsors, and more.

Invisible Children is an organization that uses film, creativity, and social action to stop rebel leader Joseph Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), and rehabilitate its former child solders.

The LRA has been terrorizing Uganda and surrounding nations for decades. Kony has abducted more than 30,000 children in Central Africa and forced them to be child soldiers. For the last 26 years, he and his crimes have been essentially invisible. “Kony 2012″ is about bringing Kony and his crimes into the light. Once people know who he is and the unspeakable crimes he continues to commit, we believe they will unite to see him arrested.
